Khoai tây gọt vỏ, hấp chín rồi nghiền nhuyễn mịn. Bơ đun tan chảy. Cho bột mì vào tô, thêm vào 1/2 muỗng cà phê bột thì là, 1/4 muỗng cà phê bột cây A Ngùy, 1/3 muỗng cà phê muối. Rưới bơ vào nhào đều. Sau đó, rưới từ từ nước vào, dùng tay nhồi cho bột quyện thành khối.
Cho khối bột vào khuôn vặn có đáy là những lổ tròn nhỏ đường kính khoảng 0.3-0.5cm (giống khuôn làm sợi bún). Tiến hành vặn cho hỗn hợp bột được kéo thành những sợi nhỏ. Đun sôi dầu ăn, cho từng phần khoai tây sợi vào chiên chín vàng giòn thì vớt ra để ráo dầu.
