Ớt chuông bỏ hạt, thái sợi dài. Hành tây bóc vỏ, thái múi nhỏ. Tỏi bóc sạch vỏ, băm nhỏ. Nấm kim châm cắt bỏ gốc, rửa sạch. Bún khô ngâm nước cho nở rồi vớt ra để ráo nước. Đun nóng chảo, cho 1 muỗng canh dầu ăn vào, khi dầu nóng thì cho tỏi băm vào phi thơm. Sau đó, thêm hành tây, ớt chuông xanh đảo đều 1-2 phút với lửa vừa.
Tiếp đến, thêm thịt bò cắt nhỏ, 2 muỗng canh sa tế đậu phộng, xào cho thịt bò chín tái. Sau đó, thêm nấm kim châm, bún khô và 2 muỗng canh nước lọc vào đun sôi. Cuối cùng, thêm 1/2 muỗng canh hắc xì dầu, 1 muỗng cà phê dầu mè, đảo đều rồi tắt bếp.
